La Dolce Vita is a project made in collaboration with Sposiamovi. What we wanted to reach was the essence of 1960, the naif and pure feelings coming from those years, the silence and the empty spaces, the charm, the sense of grace and glamour. We decided to produce this shoot, as tribute to our culture and the Italian passion for living luxuriously. This wedding editorial offers a particularly sumptuous Italian take on the glamour of Italy’s star-studded night-life. The story takes place in the second half of the ‘50s in Florence, Tuscany, under the reflections of the charming city lights during La Dolce Vita while famous stars gather to celebrate during a private party in Piazzale Michelangelo. A famous celebrity couple races off on a vintage sporty car chased by the Paparazzi, that want to steal images of their private moments. With some luck, the couple will be able to reach a restaurant and have some intimate and quite moments there.
Every little details, from the glasses used for cocktails to Vespa or vintage cars used for scenography let me desire to live in another era as often happen to me when I walk into Antics markets or vintage clothe stores.. The old fashioned days of dinner parties and Martinis, the suits, the hats, the gloves, the simple but beautiful cars, the polite manners..
I will not thank you enough Francesca for giving me the opportunity to create this wedding editorial, a project where I really felt a connection with and a type of elegance that I really hope to find in future couples.
