Please introduce yourselves and share a little about your story — and why you feel I could be the right photographer for you.

When you write, it's helpful to include:

Frequently asked question

1. Who is Stefano Santucci?

I’m a wedding photographer based in Florence, Italy. I work almost exclusively with film, developing and printing each roll by hand in my studio. My approach is documentary, editorial, and deeply human, focused on honesty, emotion, and timeless craftsmanship.

2. Why do you shoot on film?

Film allows me to slow down and connect with what I photograph. Every frame is intentional, handcrafted, and carries the texture of real life. It’s not about nostalgia, but about depth, control, and authenticity.

3. Do you also shoot digital?

Yes. I use digital selectively to complement the film narrative and ensure consistency in every light condition. The two mediums coexist seamlessly in my workflow.

4. Do you travel for weddings?

Yes. I work across Italy, mainly Tuscany, Puglia, Sicily, and the Amalfi Coast as well as abroad in France, Morocco, Greece, Thailand, Australia, and the US. Travel is an essential part of my work and creative process.

5. How far in advance should we contact you?

Most couples reach out about 10–14 months before their wedding. I only accept a limited number of events each year to ensure full attention and care for every story.

6. How long does it take to receive the final photos?

The complete gallery is usually delivered within 3–4 months, and always within the same calendar year, typically before Christmas for weddings celebrated during the summer season.

7. What makes your process different?

Every image goes through my hands, from the moment light hits the film to the final print. I don’t rely on external labs. This allows me to preserve every nuance of tone and texture, creating images that are tactile, soulful, and timeless.

8. Do you offer albums or fine art prints?

Yes. I create handcrafted fine art albums and darkroom prints using museum-grade materials, designed to last for generations.

9. Do you work with international couples?

Absolutely. Most of my clients come from abroad: the US, Australia, Canada, and Northern Europe. I handle all communication in English and assist couples through every stage of planning from afar.

10. How do we book you for our wedding?

Once you’ve decided to move forward, I’ll send you a short questionnaire. It allows me to get to know you better and gather the information I need to prepare the contract. Your date is officially reserved once both the signed agreement and deposit are received.

11. How much coverage do you offer on a wedding day?

A standard wedding day includes around 10 hours of coverage. For weekend celebrations, such as a welcome dinner and wedding day, I usually offer up to 11 hours across two days, ensuring that the full story is captured naturally and without rush.

12. Do you photograph rehearsal dinners or welcome events?

Yes. Many of my couples host multi-day celebrations. I’m available for welcome dinners, pool parties, or next-day brunches — all captured in the same documentary, editorial style.

13. Do you work with a team or alone?

I mainly work alone to keep a quiet presence and stay fully connected to what happens around me. However, for larger events or multi-day celebrations, I collaborate with a trusted second photographer from my team.

14. Can we request specific shots or a list?

I encourage couples to share what matters most to them, people, emotions, or moments. Beyond that, I prefer to observe naturally rather than follow a strict shot list, to keep everything spontaneous and true.

15. Can we print or share the images freely?

Yes, the delivered photos include personal printing and sharing rights. However, the copyright remains with my Studio, so images cannot be shared with third parties or vendors without prior authorization.

16. Do you use flash or artificial lighting?

I primarily work with natural light to preserve the atmosphere and intimacy of each moment. However, with film photography, some situations may require the use of flash or additional light.

17. What is your pricing range?

Wedding coverage usually ranges from €8,000–10,000 for local events in Italy to €15,000–18,000 for international celebrations, depending on travel distance and logistical requirements. Every project is tailored with care to reflect the couple’s story and vision.

18. Can we meet before booking?

Of course. I usually offer a video call to connect personally, discuss your plans, and see if we’re the right fit for each other.
